Senator Tester, in recent campaign ads, claimed to have secured funding for local law enforcement to pander to voters. The County Sheriffs of Broadwater, Daniel, Dawson, Beaverhead, Fallon, Custer, Roosevelt, Wheatland, Toole, Park, Phillips, Wheatland, Jefferson, and Sweetgrass County have disputed this claim. Sheriff Canen's letter below highlights the issue and explains why Tester's claim is false. Both statements allude to a concern that the money came to the counties, but law enforcement hasn't seen any of it.
