Bozeman's City Manager, Jeff Mihelich (Mihaylik), now on paid administrative leave since February 1, is gaining more exposure for the leaked video that showed him not only mocking the City of Bozeman but also the City of Austin, Texas. This time he made CBS Austin's evening news.
This is a win for investigative journalism as The Montana Sentinel first exposed this story.
Andrew Freeman wrote the following on Open The Books.
In what he thought was a "secret" recording, Jeff Mihelich told a colleague he was contacted by a recruiter searching for Austin City Manager candidates. Not only did he then disparage the City of Austin and its form of government, but he also alleges he was told it would pay a salary of $475,000.
"It's a s*** show," Mihelich said.
