Representative Ron Marshall of Montana’s House District 87 took to X this morning to announce his resignation from the Montana Legislature. After his resignation, the Ravalli County GOP Central Committee will start the process of replacing him by providing candidate recommendations. Then, the County Commission votes for the final replacement from the names provided by the Central Committee.

Marshall is also a member of the Montana Freedom Caucus. This is a developing story.
