On December 3, the rules committees of the Montana Senate and Montana House each voted on a proposed rule restricting bathroom use to biological sex only. This common-sense rule protecting women in women’s spaces was passed in the Senate but failed in the House. The Montana Freedom Caucus posted a breakdown of how each member voted on its X page, with a call to action focused on the GOP members of both chambers. There is a bill in draft to make this a law statewide during the session.

The Caucus also denied Zephyr’s statement below, with one member stating, “He’s lying.”
