At This Holy Day Season, Our Citizenship, Worship and Duty

We stand in awe and gratitude for the sacrifice and resurrection ofJesus Christ—the ultimate act of love that conquered sin and death and opened the door to eternal life. This is not just history; it is our living hope. Because He lives, we are called to live differently—with courage, conviction, and purpose.

Scripture reminds us that we are not passive observers in this world. We are called to be warriors—not of flesh and blood, but of truth, righteousness, faith, and the Word. We are to put on the full armor of God, standing firm in a world that often drifts from what is right. This calling is not confined to the quiet corners of our lives; it extends into every arena where truth must be spoken and upheld.

Yes, this includes our role as citizens and in politics too.

We are citizens of Heaven first—but we are also placed here, in this time, in Montana and in the United States of America, for a reason. Our faith is not meant to retreat from the public square, but to shine within it. Whether in our communities, our conversations, or even serving in government, we are called to bear witness—to stand for righteousness, to defend what is good, and to be voices of truth where it matters most.

Like the call of “Onward, Christian soldiers,” we move forward—not in anger, but in conviction, not in fear, but in faith. We engage not because we seek power, but because we are called to stewardship. The battle for truth, justice, and moral clarity is real, and we are not without guidance or strength.

We do this with humility, knowing the victory is already won through Christ. We do this with gratitude, remembering the cross. And we do this with resolve, knowing that standing for what is right—wherever God has placed us—is part of our faithful witness.

So let us go forward—steadfast, grateful, and unafraid—fully equipped with the armor of God, ready to serve both our Heavenly Kingdom and the earthly communities entrusted to us.
