WHEREAS, the influx of millions of progressive out-of-state dollars to influence Montana’s elections and advance far-left policies has raised grave concerns among Montanans;

WHEREAS, Democrat aligned progressive out-of-state billionaires are funneling millions of dollars into Montana Republican primary races through a network of dark money nonprofits (“Progressive Dark Money Network”);

WHEREAS, the money originates with George Soros/Wyss 1630 Fund and gets funneled through the Progressive Dark Money Network as follows: George Soros/Wyss 1630 Fund >>> Western Futures Fund >>> WAY BACK PAC >>> Conservatives4MT;

WHEREAS, Conservatives4MT (deceptively named) and the Progressive Dark Money Network are completely antithetical to Republican policies and principles;

WHEREAS, Republican policies and principles are opposed to “shifting” taxes – Republicans are fair to everyone; Republicans oppose using tax dollars to finance abortions and child transition surgeries through unchecked Medicaid expansion; Republicans oppose keeping surplus tax dollars to buy votes through handouts; and Republicans oppose implementing a wealth distribution scheme;

WHEREAS, Conservatives4MT is a Montana independent political committee which receives 78% of its funding from the Progressive Dark Money Network;

WHEREAS, the MTGOP called out this Democrat Progressive Dark Money Network, and their Montana affiliate Fireweed Campaigns Inc. of Helena (“Fireweed”) in a Resolution on March 31, 2026, demanding that all Republican candidates and elected officers dissociate from Fireweed and the Progressive Dark Money Network, by resigning from and returning any money received from Fireweed and the Progressive Dark Money Network (“Fireweed Resolution No. 1”).

WHEREAS, with the exception of one candidate, MTGOP’s demand was met with contempt and hostility or went unheeded, and it was determined that the Republican candidates and elected officers chose to associate with Fireweed and the Progressive Dark Money Network rather than the Montana Republican Party (“Fireweed Frauds”), which the MTGOP condemned in a second Resolution on April 14, 2026, rescinding recognition of the Fireweed Frauds and demanding they resign or be removed from any elected positions they hold within the Montana Republican Party (“Fireweed Resolution No. 2”).

WHEREAS, according to publicly available records, Conservatives4MT spent in excess of $620,000 in one month – Mar 25th to Apr 25th – on mailers, digital ads, and radio buys (“Independent Expenditures”) in Republican primary races for House and Senate candidates;

WHEREAS, it is expected that additional hundreds of thousands of dollars will be spent before June 2, 2026, in the Montana Republican primary election;

WHEREAS, the Independent Expenditures to date were deployed in 37 Montana Republican primary races for House and Senate Candidates, in support of the following candidates;

WHEREAS, 16 of these candidates were identified in the prior Fireweed Resolution No. 1 and No. 2 as having a direct relationship with the Progressive Dark Money Network through connected committees, including direct contributions and staffing expenditures and services.

WHEREAS, despite the condemnations and demands in Resolutions No. 1 and No. 2, Conservatives4MT have engaged in a coordinated scheme with the Progressive Dark Money Network to undermine the integrity of the Montana Republican primary electoral process and betray Montana Republican voters;

WHEREAS, the integrity of the Montana primary electoral process, where each party nominates its candidate to run against the competing parties in the general election, is fundamental to democracy and the multiple party system;

WHEREAS, recent actions by Conservatives4MT to influence Montana Republican primaries subvert the fairness and transparency of Republican primary elections;

WHEREAS, it is essential to protect the Montana primary system from manipulation to ensure that candidates reflect the will of Montana Republican voters; and

WHEREAS, given the seriousness of the actions taken by Conservatives4MT, the MTGOP Executive Committee calls for measures to prevent future occurrences of manipulations to protect the Montana primary electoral process;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that,

1. The influx of millions of dollars from the Progressive Dark Money Network into Montana Republican House and Senate primary races is harmful to the integrity of the Montana Republican primary electoral process.
2. Conservatives4MT has engaged in a coordinated scheme with the Progressive Dark Money Network to undermine the integrity of the Montana Republican primary electoral process and betray Montana Republican voters.
3. Recent Independent Expenditures made by Conservatives4MT to Republican primary House and Senate Candidates to influence Republican primaries raises serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of elections.
4. Further action is essential to prevent future occurrences, protect the Montana primary electoral process from manipulation, and ensure that candidates reflect the will of Montana Republican voters.
   THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, the Executive Committee of the Montana Republican Party, through its Chairman:
5. Stands firm in its commitment to uphold the integrity of elections and expose the deceitful and unethical interference by Conservatives4MT and the Democrat Progressive Dark Money Network in the Montana primary electoral process.
6. Denounces and condemns Conservatives4MT and the Progressive Dark Money Network for undermining the integrity of the Montana Republican primary electoral process and betraying Montana Republican voters.
7. Calls upon Conservatives4MT to cease and desist from further interjecting itself into Montana Republican primary races.
8. Calls upon all candidates in all 37 races who received the benefit of an Independent Expenditure from Conservatives4MT to publicly disavow and condemn Conservatives4MT’s actions to influence Montana’s Republican primary electoral process, to immediately publicly demand Conservatives4MT to cease and desist from participating in their race, and publicly endorse the Montana Republican Party.
9. Calls upon all Montana Republican voters to unite in defending the integrity of our Montana Republican primary electoral process and to reject any tactics that compromise fair and transparent party elections that determine the Montana Republican nominees.
