I laughed out loud when I read the title of “Republican” Representative Barker’s 11/10 submission in Carbon County News, “Out of State Interests Seeking Control of Montana Legislators.” [Linked to same article in The Flathead Beacon] It was a stunned kind of laughter, as Barker received plenty of campaign support from Conservatives4MT PAC, funded by NY Liberals—Michael Bloomberg, to be exact, among others (Google Conservatives4MT PAC, find the Montana Free Press article–a left wing publication–from May 2024 entitled: Committee puts $240k behind moderate Republicans in legislative primaries, then look up the named funder – Unite America PAC).

The lefty globalists have their agenda and their big money, and they are working inside Montana to boost the campaigns of left-leaning “Republicans” like Barker. They know they can’t win in most localities by running a Democrat. This worked in Colorado, so now they’re doing it here. Last election cycle saw Conservatives4MT PAC take out several true Conservative Republicans, replacing them with left-leaning RINOs. The playbook is simple: Get loads of liberal funding for a PAC with a fake conservative-sounding name; the PAC puts the money behind RINOs, sending out expensive mailers that lie about the true Conservative in the race. Then, they deceive people into voting liberal when they believe they are voting Republican. Finally, get the RINO elected.

Then, these Barker-style “Republicans” go to Helena and make a deal with Democrats, creating a big enough voting bloc that they can push their Liberal agenda through the legislature. All while we, the people of Montana, believe we are safe from the Marxist trend of the Left, because we voted in a Republican Majority.

Barker goes on in his article to attempt to convince us that he’s Conservative, defending the slush fund he voted for to hold excess taxpayer money (money belonging to taxpayers that should have been returned to them) for all kinds of future government “needs.” He believes in the façade, apparently, like when he voted to put transgender legislator Zoey Zephyr in the ladies’ room at the Capitol and then claimed the women legislators were ok with it. Two women legislators were ok with it. TWO!  To vote for this and then try to justify it by saying the women were ok with it is pushing it, to put it mildly. It’s pushing a lie that a man who believes he is a woman should be allowed in the ladies’ room. A bad start to the legislative session, and it only got worse from there.

Barker had one person back him up with a piece in Carbon County News: David Bedey, who, like Barker, is F-rated by legislatorloyalty.com; another self-proclaimed “Conservative” legislator. I guess Barker, Bedey, and their “Solutions Caucus,” who claim they’re Conservatives, changed the definition of Conservative from someone who believes in limited government to someone who believes in government without many limits. To quote Montana State GOP Chair Art Wittich, “Maybe, Brad, you should run as a Democrat.”
