Helena has more than its share of radical leftists seeking political office, and often they win. But on November 4th, Helena voters rejected Haley McKnight for the Helena City Commission. It’s impossible to know if her rejection was due to the national attention brought on her by the exposure of a phone recording she sent to Senator Tim Sheehy, threatening him and his family. The majority of ballots had already been filled out and mailed in. Voters instead chose incumbent Melinda Reed and newcomer Ben Rigby. Both are Democrats despite the facade of Helena elections being “non-partisan.”

As a result of Haley’s actions, the owners of the business where she works as an employee (Sage and Oats Trading Post) suspended her and closed the store temporarily.
