In a surprise move today, Congressman Matt Rosendale dropped out of the race for U.S. Senate after filing to run for the office only one week ago.

Rosendale maintains a 100% Constitutional voting record, and is an advocate for limited government of, by, and for the people. Rosendale’s opponent for the U.S. Senate Republican primary, Tim Sheehy, helped fund Trump’s opponents but Trump chose to endorse Sheehy over Rosendale. Why Trump chose to go with Sheehy over the highly popular Rosendale is unknown. Expert sources in Montana say this is likely to lead to six more years of Jon Tester’s big government voting record.

Here is the statement Rosendale made announcing his withdrawal.

For the grassroots voters in Montana this is viewed as a win by the Washington, D.C. uniparty. The Montana Sentinel’s staff awaits Congressman Rosendale’s decision concerning his future.
