Updated to account for a similar incident in Butte.

Given the political left’s penchant for violence and confrontation, it came as no surprise that an anti-Trump agitator harassed members of the Lewis and Clark County Republican Central Committee this weekend while they manned a booth at the county’s Last Chance Stampede and Fair. The incident ended with the arrest of the agitator after he struck a member of the Sheriff’s Department.

The subject harassed the volunteers complaining about Trump and calling him and them names. The complaints were absent physical threats against the volunteer team on site. They were later aided by other citizens at the facility when it became clear the subject would not leave on his own. The subject later lashed out at a member of the Sheriff’s department, first kicking him, and then punching him in the face.

This happened after an attempted assassination of President Trump which many concluded was the result of continuous violent rhetoric by those on the left and lack of accountability when rioters are arrested and then released by a weaponized justice system. Across America violence has gone unpunished with a punctuation mark in the summer of 2020 when violence rocked cities, and few were held to account. Locally, rioters who took part in a riot during a house session in the Montana State Capitol building in April 2023 were released. The lack of justice and accountability has emboldened an already violent left, this is just one more example.

The Montana Sentinel team will follow this case closely as the subject has been charged with a felony for striking a uniformed peace officer. Will he walk free or be held accountable for his behavior? Stand by for more.

During another GOP candidate table event in Butte, our sources stated that a different agitator confronted a volunteer and said he would like to "murder Trump" and "shoot Senatorial Candidate Sheehy."
