In response to the letter from Dan Eakin (Sidney) which he submitted to Montana papers supporting Katherine Bidegaray for the Montana Supreme Court, I want to caution Montana voters that in my polling of Richland County residents, the Republicans describe her as a very arrogant “left wing feminist!”  The last time she ran for District Judge in the five county district, she did not win her home county of Richland County.  She is described by my sources in the legal profession as an anti-Constitutionalist who believes the Constitution should be a “living document” which should change with the times.

Her personal life has been controversial when she divorced her husband and she is described as very supportive of the LGBQ community.  Montana does not need a Supreme Court judge who is likely to rule against parental rights in the transgender cases or support boys (claiming to be girls) paying on girls’ sports teams.

Judge Bidegaray is also a supporter of the “Climate Change” crowd as was demonstrated by her ruling against Black Butte Mine which delayed its opening by a couple of years.  Her radical position was even overturned by Montana’s liberal Supreme Court!   Montana cannot afford to have this radical judge added to the Montana Supreme Court.

In contrast--her opponent for the Supreme Court—Judge Dan Wilson from Kalispell--is a highly respected Judge and is at least a political moderate who would bring common sense balance to the current liberal Court majority who are constantly overturning laws passed by the Legislature.

Unfortunately, Montana currently has Judges who can’t define a male and female.  Judge Katherine Bidegaray would simply replace a retiring activist judge with another left-wing activist judge—which Montana does not need on the Supreme Court!
