In a much anticipated move, today Congressman Matt Rosendale announced his run for the U.S. Senate during a filing event that marked the start of the Montana GOP Winter Kickoff event in Helena.

Attendees to the announcement said this is the ultimate example of a race that is "We the People vs. the Establishment in Washington, D.C."

The text below is from an email announcement sent to supporters.

It’s official. I am thrilled to announce I’m running to be the next United States Senator from Montana.

A lot of people in Washington, especially Mitch McConnell, won’t be happy about this news, but I don't care. I’m not running to represent them, I’m running to represent you. That’s why I’m writing to ask for your support as I take on the Deep State, the Radical Left, and the DC Cartel establishment.

HELP ME BUILD MOMENTUM!
It's time to break up the Establishment monopoly in the Senate. Montanans deserve to have their voices heard. Both Democrats and weak-willed Establishment Republicans have failed to put Montana priorities first, and puppets of the D.C. Cartel certainly won’t either. Montana and America need a proven Conservative leader representing them in Washington, which is why I’m running against Democrats and a D.C. Cartel puppet.
